Seethe next part of the flat’s name. In general, a flat is progressive if the change must be applied in succession. Common examples include the progressive word deletion and progressive letter shift. Note that some types (e.g., a deletion with multiple parts, or a transdeletion) are implicitly progressive and are not so designated: strain, train, rain is simply a beheadment.
